Hi!
Thank you Surendra and the team. Our recent trip to Nepal was very well organised by Firante Treks and Expeditions. The planning process was very efficient with good email communications and safe transfer of funds, and rapid confirmation that they had been received. The trek was for 18 days and well organised, and at all times we felt that our safety and comfort was paramount. The inevitable illnesses, cuts and blisters were dealt with very professionally. I would certainly recommend Firante Treks to anyone trekking in Nepal & Tibet.
NigelDear Sonam,
It was a great pleasure biking with you through Tibet (Lhasa to Kathmandu) September/October 2007. The perfect organisation made the journey in this unique Land to an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for whole Firante treks & Expeditions team.
Namaste Pradhu,
This is Helga from the Wolfgang-group. You are so nice!
This is very kind of you. Well, the group really was happy.
You and the cooking staff, service men and the boys have been
wonderful ambassadors for Firante Treks: No moods, no bad temper,
always helpful and watchful. You all made our trekking to Mt. Kailash a success.
Surendra really should know what good crew he has provided. It is really true: This trekking was a memorable one! I am sure, no one of us will forget it.
A trek considered by many to be the best trek in Nepal offering all characteristic of Nepal. Green forests, the best mountain views and a variety of cultures and not to mention a good exercise.
The trail leads northwards initially, crossing fields of paddy before dividing the Marshyangdi river gorge, it passes through various exciting villages on route.
The journey initially comprises of steep and narrow and the trail goes through deep forests which eventually emerges into the arid Manang valley. This region is much more like Tibetan highland and lifestyle.
You have an extra day for acclimatization purposes before crossing of the Thorang-La pass (5,416 m). This is a long but very rewarding day with splendid views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Dhampus Peak amongst others.
From the pass a steep descent (2-3 hours) leads to Muktinath, a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists situated in lower Mustang.
After crossing of the Thorang-La we follow the Kali Gandaki gorge via many exciting lower Mustang and Thakali villages. We rest up for some great food and a day at the hot springs at Tatopani before a further one day trekking to Ghorepani.
The wonderful overnight at Ghorepani and the following morning we are up early for the trek to Poon hill for sunrise view over the Himalayas and head towards beautiful Tikhedhung.
The final day is an easy descent to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara Hotel one and half.
